good universities for architecture?
Hello everybody,

I would like to study architecture, and now I am wondering what the best university there is right now. What has a good reputation, or where do you learn a lot / is well looked after / are there any exciting projects?
It would be great if you could help me! Such details are not in any ranking ...

Greeting,
Marga

FH and TU Kaiserslautern should be the best.

Re: good universities for architecture?
RWTH Aachen and TU Braunschweig actually have the best reputation in Germany. Otherwise ETH Zurich and London.
Re: good universities for architecture?
Hey Marga,

there is actually a clever university ranking, especially for architecture universities. The student page of the specialist magazine Detail, www.detailx.de, has been allowing all users to vote on their university for a few weeks now, specifically according to the aspects that are important for architecture students. You can see which university has the best facilities, the best relationship with professors, practical relevance, or which is the coolest city, etc.
Maybe this will help you a little with your decision ...

Re: good universities for architecture?
Hello!

I am currently studying business administration in the 4th semester and I really want to switch to architecture.
i wanted to be an architect all my life and i was a huge sheep - i let my parents talk me out of it and in the end i was too afraid of the supposedly terrible prospects for architects myself.

result: i hate my studies and dream of my original plan all day.
Now is an end to brooding and it is tackled: D.

maybe someone knows what my chances of getting a place at RWTH Aachen are? I only had 3.0 in my Abi, but 2 waiting semesters because of. study abroad.
on the homepage it says that last year the limit was 2.8 for applicants with 2 waiting semesters.

In your opinion, will the rush to increase or decrease? Despite days of googling, I couldn't find anything about it.

I'm grateful for any information, throw everything in:)!

hello alexis,
Last year, I was accepted in the first move-up procedure with 2.8 and 2 waiting semesters. But a lot of people left with us in the first few weeks and therefore I think that you have a very good chance of getting a place in October at the latest.

What is more important to you?
Practice or theory? You have to decide for yourself what type of guy you are.
Is studying at the FH and I am totally satisfied. Can't think of anything better.

As I said, take a look at the ranking.

I wish you success
