Collaboration software with Github integration

Nextcloud 20 integrates Slack, Teams, Github and more

At the Nextcloud Conference 2020, project founder Frank Karlitschek announced version 20 of the Nextcloud Hub collaboration software. The most important innovation is the integration of numerous common external services.

The search in Nextcloud now also includes the ticket systems Jira and Zammad, the developer platforms Github and Gitlab, the learning platform Moodle, the online forums Discourse and Reddit as well as the social media Twitter and Mastodon. For numerous other services and applications from the video conference software BigBlueButton to the password manager Keepass, integrations are also available in the Nextcloud App Store.

The new version 10 of the Nextcloud Talk chat solution has been expanded to include connections ("bridges") to other chat services via the integration of Matterbridge. The list of bridges includes Microsoft Teams, SlackBridges, Mattermost, Matrix, IRC, XMPP, RocketChat and Steam. However, these integrations are still in their early stages: some services can already be used without any problems, others are currently still in the test phase.

Other innovations include a dashboard that gives users a quick overview - including numerous integrated external applications and services. Here you can easily set your own status. The notifications have been revised. A blog post explains what's new in Nextcloud Hub 20.
