Short Summary

Intradialytic hypotension (IDH) is a common complication during hemodialysis in patients with chronic kidney disease and can increase mortality. This study aimed to investigate whether pulse wave analysis could be the predictor of IDH.

This study enrolled patients on regular hemodialysis from Taoyuan Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. The subjects were assessed with a pulse wave instrument and a heart rate variability analyzer and constitution in the Chinese medicine questionnaire before hemodialysis. As per the definitions of IDH, subjects in study group and control group were confirmed by the dialysis protocols. Furthermore, repeated examinations for 3 hemodialysis were carried out. Examine the possible predictor factors for IDH.
