Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts appoints new Vice President Sales

With Julien Bonafous, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has appointed a new Vice President Sales, who will support the current expansion of the international hotel company with Swiss roots. In his 20-year hotel career, Bonafous has already held various senior sales and marketing positions in large international hotel companies, including Starwood, Hilton and the InterContinental Hotels Group. In the future, he will be responsible for the global sales strategy and will take care of the most important source markets.

He is responsible for the management of the entire sales structure, currently there are 17 international and national sales offices worldwide; for coordinating sales activities in line with marketing, sales and development goals; as well as the consolidation of the high sales figures in the core and growth markets of Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Bonafous has already won several awards as a hotel expert. He brings with him extensive experience, including through successful work with leading international hotel groups.

Before joining Mövenpick, he was Director, Global Sales Office, Middle East, Greece & Turkey for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Director, International Sales, Middle East & Africa, at Hilton Hotels.

Bonafous studied hotel management at the Vatel International Hospitality Business School in Paris, France. He is fluent in French and English and has lived in Dubai with his family for several years.
